Rookie On The Rise: Singer Elijah Vanecek You Won't Believe This Kids Voice!
Before I met Elijah Vanecek, I was browsing the internet. I came across a video post of this kid dressed in grunge clothing. He was sitting on a bench in front of a local mall in my hometown of Oregon. He was holding a guitar and although hardly anyone was watching him, he started to perform. I almost scrolled past the video, but I figured it may be worth listening too. I pressed play and I knew instantly that this kid needed more than just a park bench to perform, he needs a stage! His voice can put a chill down your back. Everyone deserves a shot, and I believe if we can share Elijah's video to the world, we can make a star out of this kid! I asked Elijah some questions. Here's a little bit more info about this vocal phenom! Be sure to watch the video of him singing below!

Q: How old were you when you started chasing your passion?
Elijah: I started chasing my passion at about 11 years old

Elijah: I'd have to say my inspiration is a mix of so many amazing musicians, Eddie Vedder, Kurt cobain, Shannon Hoon from blind melon, Layne Stayley, Shaun Morgan....I love Jim Morrison a lot too.
Q: What would you be doing today if you weren't chasing this dream?
Elijah: I'd probably honestly be a very unhappy person. Music saved my life.
Q: When did you realize that you had something worth pursuing?
Elijah:When I first heard a crowd cheer for me, it felt like nothing I'd ever felt, I felt at home. And that's when I realized "Why the hell would I want to do a job that I hate, that I don't enjoy, when I could be doing this, a job, that I love."
Q: What drives you to get up and rise to the next level?
Elijah: My main goal, the thought that I can actually do this and succeed, it drives me to work hard as I can to being better than I was the day before.

Elijah: Never give up and love yourself. Love everything about you, and love your fans. They are the most important part of everything. And always be thankful for what you have.
Q: Have you reached the ceiling with this, or is this a ladder that doesn't end? What are your plans from this point on?
Elijah: There is no ceiling, your always climbing. No matter how easy or hard that climb may be. It never ends. I do think that I'm doing well, and I'd love to keep climbing.
